Save Me Money !
Everyone wants to save on their gas bills, here are a few methods to help with that. Also refer to Condensing Boilers
- Setting the timer on your heating system is the main way. For example you may not require hot water and heating to run at the same time.
- Bleed radiators if they are hot at the bottom and cold at the top.
- Heat can be lost through outside walls behind radiators. To reduce this, fit reflective foil paper to the wall behind the radiator.
- Room thermostats are very sensitive and by reducing the setting by just 1°C can save up to 10% on your fuel bill.
- Use an appropriate draught excluder around doors, windows, letterboxes and keyholes. Do not, however, block or seal any air vents which ensure that the gas appliances operate safely.
- Ensure that curtains are not draped over radiators.

- Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRV’s)
- Room Thermostat
- Programmable room thermostat
- Cylinder thermostat
